Lit Cosmetics

Hello makeup Fans!

Today I would like to share some pictures of the glitters I purchased from Lit Cosmetics.

I’ve had my eyes on these for a while and I finally gave in an ordered some.  I noticed the line last year when a friend had mentioned seeing the company at the makeup show.

Lit Cosmetics is a Canadian based company.  They have tons of colors, sizes and finishes.   They also sell some brushes and adhesive for the glitters.

So far I have to say I really love them.  The clear base adhesive makes it so nice to apply.

Be sure to check their website address out at http://litcosmetics.com/ for a full list of colors and prices.

I will apologize in advance as I didn’t’ seem to get the right lighting but I hope this helps.   I hope to have some photo shoots in the near future using these.  🙂

Airbrush Makeup vs. Traditional Makeup

Airbrush Makeup vs. Traditional Makeup

As a makeup artist that provides both airbrush and traditional makeup, I get this question asked a lot.  What is the difference between traditional and airbrush makeup?

I will try to answer this question as best as I can without getting to technical.

Application:

Traditional makeup – is normally applied with a sponge/brush and in most cases you would use liquid or a cream foundation.

Airbrush makeup – the artist would need a compressor and an airbrush gun to apply.

The foundation comes as a high pigmented liquid and it is sprayed to the face, feeling like a light mist on your skin.

Below is a picture of a compressor and airbrush gun.

Why does airbrush makeup last longer than traditional makeup?

Traditional makeup come in many different forms and bases and most of them are not formulated for long wear.

Specially formulated airbrush foundation when its airbrushed sit evenly over your skin instead of setting into your pores, line, wrinkles, etc .  In addition, most airbrush makeup are water resistant and can withstand moisture, heat and sweat with a 12-14 hour wear.

Is airbrush for everyone?

I personally don’t think airbrush makeup is for everyone.  That is why I offer both services to my clients.  I recommend airbrush for special events and weddings were you will be photographed and need to keep nice and fresh without having to keep touching up and reapplying product.

In closing my little post, I hope you find it helpful.
